Have you every thought about replacing your shampoos and conditioners with natural alternatives? Well, let me introduce you the to most effective natural shampoo and you’ll forever not want to go back to store bought products ever again.
Qasil powder is made from dried, finely crushed leaves from the gob tree. Women from East-Africa have been using the leaves of the tree for centuries to exfoliate, soften and brighten their skin. Qasil can be used as a face cleanser or a shampoo due to its natural forming soapy lather when in contact with water.
In the last couple of years, we as consumers have been alerted to the harmful chemicals that are in our beauty products. More and more people have been making the switch to all-natural beauty products, and some of us have actually been making our own homemade shampoos. Qasil is one of the most simplest and effective homemade shampoo you can make.
Qasil contains a cleansing agent called soapin, so when it’s in contact with water, it forms a natural soapy lather. It’s a powerful cleansing powder that will deeply cleanse the scalp, removing any dirt and excess oil, and also improve the overall condition of the hair. It also contains great slip, which is amazing for de-tangling. You can use Qasil in place of your daily shampoo and conditioner. When applying the mixture to the hair, make sure you also massaging your scalp to ensure that the product has had a chance to thoroughly penetrate your hair to provide maximum benefits.
Making a DIY Qasil shampoo is super simple, here is two of my favourite recipes that you can make at home.
DIY Recipe 1
Ingredients:
– 2 tablespoonS of Qasil Powder
– 1 cup of warm water
You can add more powder or water depending on how thick you like your mixture. The purpose of using warm water in your Qasil mixture is because it will help to activate the mixture and you notice that it almost helps the mixture rise. This means a little Qasil Powder can go a long way. When mixing the ingredients together, you would need to mix the Qasil Powder in gradually to create a smooth mixture. This recipe extremely simple to make, but super effective in deeply cleansing the scalp to remove dirt and excess oil.
DIY Recipe 2
– 1 tablespoon of Qasil Powder
– 1/2 cup of warm water
– 1/2 of apple cider vinegar
If you need an extra deep cleansing treatment for your hair, you could add apple cider vinegar to the mixture. Apple cider vinegar will help balance out the acidity in your hair, leading to better shine and overall health. Watch the video below to see how you can make it:
